” Some days are just bad days, that’s all. You have to experience sadness to know happiness, and I remind myself that not every day is going to be a good day, that’s just the way it is”

It took me a while to comprehend this quote, to relate it back to me and the experiences I’ve been through. Being a Homosexual 19 year old male is tough in this world, it takes a lot of courage to finally “come out”, it takes self respect to accept who you really are to understand the importance of self happiness in your own skin, it takes broad shoulders to brush of the rude and disrespectful comments you get walking down the street holding hands with another male…. but none of this should matter, it shouldn’t take anything for me to be my self.

At 17 I moved to London on my own, at 18 I finally built up 20 seconds of insane courage to tell my parents I was in fact a raging homosexual who loves the company of another male, I traveled all through Europe experiencing different cultures, ways of life and most importantly different opinions and views, and at 19 ive experienced all of that as well as and quoted by Sam Smith, ” Had my heart ripped out my chest “.

I write this blog, not to become famous or have 1000s of readers but to share my genuine experiences and in the hope of helping someone out there who has gone/going through these tough times. Not every day is a good day, but not every day is a bad one either. Once you come to accept that, your whole world will change, your outlook on life, your attitude and also the quality of the life you are living.

Dont hide the true you, telling one person can make all the difference in the way you are feeling.
